Aga
The Crown Line
Àgà (The Seat of Judgment) is for the man who has moved from warrior to witness. He no longer fights to be seen; he governs from within. Rendered in solemn charcoal, this robe calls no names and seeks no validation. It is not here to decorate—it is here to decide. And when he walks in, things shift.
The outer robe is cut in a near-black charcoal, heavy with stillness, structured to hold the room without raising its voice. The embroidery panel, by contrast, rises in a striking ivory—illuminating the chest like scripture carved in stone. The central motif unfurls in symmetrical tendrils, like wisdom etched into a family crest. The vertical bands beneath suggest tradition, lineage, and moral scaffolding—reminders that real authority is inherited and lived, not claimed.
The Outer Robe (Awosoke) moves deliberately, with wide angular folds that give the silhouette weight and authority. The awotele (inner garment) follows its lead—precise, structured, unbending. And the sokoto, tailored to precision, reinforces its gravity. Together, this is not just attire—it is attire for the man who is the final word. Àgà does not wear power. It is power, dressed.

Outer Robe (Awosoke):
Crafted from a dense ceremonial cotton-wool blend, the outer robe drapes firmly across the shoulders and down the body, forming clean architectural lines. Its charcoal hue absorbs light, lending the garment a dignified silence, while the ivory embroidery provides a regal rupture of brightness at the heart.Inner Garment (Awotele):
The inner tunic carries the same charcoal tone, serving as the quiet backbone of the ensemble. Its neckline gently frames the embroidery panel and is tailored with an invisible closure for seamless symmetry.Trousers (Sokoto):
Finished with clean pleats and a hidden fastening, the sokoto is cut slim through the leg but not tight, allowing for fluid motion beneath the robe. It is the invisible discipline that anchors the garment's poise. -
Àgà is made from a ceremonial-grade wool-cotton blend—designed for strength, longevity, and a subtle, structured sheen. Its weight reflects its gravity, yet remains breathable enough for year-round wear. The ivory embroidery is done with dense threadwork in high-contrast relief, evoking age-old Yoruba motifs of justice, wisdom, and generational reverence.
